Djemaa El-Kebir is located in the lower Casbah, at the level of the marine district, bordering the Navy Street from where its main entrance. Its rear facade is limited by Amilcar Kabral Boulevard.One of the oldest mosques in Algiers; it was built at the time of Almoravides in 1096, Classified in 1967, it was rehabilitated 2000-2002.
