Djaama Ketchaoua is located in the lower Kasbah, in the district Souk-el-Djemâa, bordering the BenBadis Square Construit in 1612, renovated and expanded in 1794 by Hassen Pasha; it was converted into a cathedral in 1830, it was classed 1908 and reconverted again as a mosque in 1962.Construction works followed by restoration work for this mosque are in the launching phase.
