Dar Aziza is located in the lower Kasbah more precisely in the district Souk-el-Djemâa, it is bounded by the place Sheikh Ben Badis and the street Bab EL Oued – Bab Azzoun. Founded between 1552 and 1556, it was ravaged by the fire of June 20, 1844.Last witness of the whole Djenina it was classified in 1887, and underwent rehabilitation in 1989.Property of the daughter of the dey then residence of the Dey to become 1st seat of the regency to the Turkish era, it hosted the headquarters of the National Agency of Archeology currently it is the seat of the Office of Management and Exploitation of Cultural Protected Goods. AZIZA has undergone repair work following the earthquake of 2003 .
